NFL Pickem against the Point Spread:
Every Tuesday, Contest General will release the opening point spreads on all of the available football games that week for you to pick against. Here's an example:
New York Jets +7
Seattle Seahawks -7
The point spread is 7 points and Seattle is favored. If you like Seattle to win and cover they must beat the Jets by more than 7 points. If you think Seattle will win, but they will not win by more than 7 points you would pick the Jets +7. If Seattle were to win by exactly 7 points then the pick is a push and no points are awarded for the pick. Picking against the point spread is available for both NFL and College football pick'em contests.
Confidence Pools:
Assign a number value to each of your picks which represents the confidence ranking of each of your picks. For example, there are 16 NFL games in a typical week so you would have to assign each of your picks a number 1 - 16. Here is an example:
You pick the Miami Dolphins to beat the Chicago Bears and assign a ranking of 16 because the Bear's QB is hurt and Miami is playing at home and you are a huge Miami fan so you are absolutely positive that Miami is going to win. Thus you rank it 16 and if you Miami does win you will earn 16 points on that pick. If Miami loses, you get 0 points. The more confident you are in a pick the higher number ranking you assign it. The less confident you are in a pick the lower the number you assign it.
College Bowl Games Pick'em contest now available! This bowl season you can set up your own bowl game confidence pick'em contests using the same format described above to pick all the bowl games in an independent contest. Being that there is now a championship 4 game bracket format the tie breaker for the contest will be determined by choosing the total of the championship game once the teams have been announced. At that time a reminder will be sent the participants of your contest so that they can come back and make their tie breaker pick.
Key Picks:
Allow your players to designate a number of their picks as "Key Picks". If their picks are correct they will receive bonus points on the pick. The value of the bonus points and the number of available Key Picks is set by the contest manager.

What does it cost?
Regular Season Football Pick'em Contests cost $19.99 per contest and include up to 10 users, each user beyond 10 will cost $2 each.
College Bowl Pick'em and NFL Playoff Pick'em contests cost $9.99 including up to 10 users, each user beyond 10 will cost an additional $1 per player.
